As an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Calibration Engineer, you will be part of a small team who are responsible for the development, validation and certification of powertrain control system OBD functionality to meet World-
Wide legislated standards and requirements for all our exciting vehicles.
You will be involved in all aspects of OBD for the many interesting projects we have in the pipeline, from software specification and review, through robust implementation, to preparation and submission of certification documentation.
As part of this role you will travel overseas to support development, climatic testing and certification activities. Additionally, you will also be involved in investigations into production issues, at our impressive on-
site production facility, as well as providing dealer technical support.
This will be an exciting role as you will be driving and developing some of the most aspirational and technically challenging vehicles on the market, working on both current and future models, including Ultimate Series.
You should have a Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering Degree at 2 : 1 or above and some industry experience in calibration, either on gasoline, diesel or hybrid vehicles, preferably using Bosch Engine Management systems.
You will have a thorough understanding of how powertrain systems work and interact with the vehicle electrical architecture.
You should also have a good knowledge of OBD legislative requirements.
Having worked within calibration you should have experience with tools such as Inca, MDA, Canape, Matlab and Simulink.
Due to the nature of the role, there will be elements of driving required and so you will also need a full driving license.
You should be practical, analytical as well as flexible in your approach to work, you will work as a member of a supportive and adaptive team to ensure the delivery of our amazing products.
