Why this role matters

This role is key as a change agent to drive differentiation and competitive advantage for our connectivity products via entertainment and to lead on Consumer’s Super Aggregation Content Strategy.

It will define the overarching TV and Sport Product Strategy and will own the complex portfolio of TV & Sport products across the BT and EE brands and across a diverse suite of platforms and partners.

Will also manage product relationship with Youview.

What you'll be doing

  • Defining overarching TV and Sport Product Strategy (platforms and Apps) and Road-mapping and owning innovation leadership for the Category
  • Owning TV and Sport Annual Plan and Budget
  • Owning TV and Sport Product Requirements including Security and Antipiracy and deciding on local prioritisation
  • Owning product launches delivery and product performance in-life
  • Owning individual product NPS and Cost (dev and unit)
  • Defining product integration strategy for 3rd party Apps landing on BT Group’s TV platforms and for BT Group Entertainment Apps landing on 3rd party devices
  • Owning product specific UX and UI (BT Group Boxes and TV & Sport Apps)
  • Owning Youview Product Relationship and setting Youview annual product-related targets
  • Owning category-related Research Budget
  • Managing product relationship with 7-way shareholder Youview venture
  • Leading and coaching the category team, inspiring and motivating them and building confidence and support for our Products across the organisation and beyond
  • Responsible for overall category road-mapping planning, presenting, negotiating and owning the category annual development budget, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and quality execution.
  • Acting as senior sponsor for major delivery programmes

  • Responsible for the end to end development, launch and in-life management of solutions in order to enhance the customer experience, manage associated capex, exploit new technology and achieve return on investment
