We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Quantum Analyst to work in our Sheffield office, to join the Special Damages team in our busy Personal Injury department.
This role would be best suited to someone with a keen interest in finance, accountancy or a high aptitude towards maths and problem solving.
The role of Quantum Analyst involves the preparation of complex financial losses which involves liaising with case handlers.
The Special Damages Unit prepares schedules of past and future losses incorporating claims for income and pension loss, care and therapy packages, past and future dependency claims etc for all cases dealt with by the Irwin Mitchell Personal Injury and Insurance Service departments nationally.
The successful candidate will receive excellent on the job training and support and will have a structured career development plan.
The role is highly analytical and therefore an interest in working with figures is essential. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who takes a logical and methodical approach to their work.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate strong IT ability and confidence in using a range of computer packages, including the full suite of Microsoft Office applications.
In particular the candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Candidates should possess the necessary interpersonal skills to succeed at this job and in particular, adopt a helpful and friendly approach when dealing with others.
The role will involve working to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment so good organisational skills and the ability to work under your own initiative are essential.
