A brief update on Covid-19 (coronavirus)

Simply Business is well prepared to deal with unprecedented events. We're an agile business by nature - and our hiring and interview process is no exception.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some parts of our hiring process may take a little longer than usual. Please bear with us, and rest assured that we're happy to hear from you and receive your application.

    Brexit Statement :

    Following the UK's exit from the European Union, there are changes to Legal Right to Work legislation that applicants from the EU will need to be aware of.

    Before 30th June 2021, EU / EEA / Swiss citizens have a legal right to work in the UK and can provide a passport as evidence of this. No visa will be required.

    From 30th June 2021, EU citizens will be required to provide evidence of settled or pre-settled status in the UK as evidence of right to work.

    Without this, EU citizens will require a visa to work in the UK.

    We need a Finance Business Partner to join us in Northampton.

    As a team we're responsible for driving business growth and profitability by working with our business stakeholders to identify financial and commercially viable risk and opportunities.

    We do this through commercially focused month-end reporting, developing strategic business plans and collaborating on business cases for new initiatives.

    As a Finance Business Partner you will :

  • partner with the Northampton Contact Centre, looking after both the revenue and cost base
  • work closely with contact centre leadership to drive the long range strategy of the business, while ensuring the right short-term decisions support this
  • be a core influencer, proactively driving key strategic initiatives, including identifying areas of opportunity
  • take ownership of the cost base ensuring performance to plan is maintained, with opportunities identified and risks mitigated
  • continuously drive optimisation through insightful analysis and close collaboration with business partners
  • understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful financial analysis and business cases for management
  • support the global business, in particular the growing US business in establishing new processes and MI
  • What we're looking for :

  • qualified accountant with prior experience working in a similar role and industry
  • self-starter, highly motivated and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • gravitas to provide insightful challenge to senior executives
  • collaborative, engaging, and influencing communication style
  • ability to turn complex financial data into meaningful management level information
  • experience in owning the reporting of monthly financial results for communication to leadership teams
  • can present financial information both orally and in writing
  • experience in business partnering contact centres or commercial teams would be beneficial
  • strong Excel, PowerPoint, and modelling skills
