The Role

Based within the Housing Services Team, you will be the first point of contact for the Housing Services Team by providing basic housing advice and give assistance regarding the housing register and associated housing issues.

Recording accurate details of all contact on the housing software system. Where necessary arrange appointments with clients to meet a member of the Housing Services Team.

  • A passion for excellent customer service, you will be dealing with queries from applicants over the telephone, email, writing and face to face on a daily basis.
  • You will be need to be confident when dealing with queries from applicants or their representatives, processing their applications and, if and when appropriate, involve other relevant members of the wider housing team to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Excellent IT skills, with previous experience of maintaining databases.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Experience of working for Local Authority, Housing Association and Voluntary sector would be beneficial however it is not essential and initial and ongoing training will be provided for all successful candidates.
  • This post has a significant travel requirement and you are contractually required to have a vehicle (or transport deemed to be suitable by the council) available for use as required.
