The International Business Development team works closely with our business unit leaders and senior management to facilitate decision making through rigorous strategic and financial analysis.
Driving projects from concept stage to conclusion, the team contributes directly to the realisation of operational excellence across our diverse businesses, as well as the development and implementation of NBCUniversal’s international growth strategy.
As a Manager, you will be joining a fast-paced, high profile team to deliver research and analysis across a range of projects focusing specifically within the EMEA region.
As well as building an international strategy, the department’s focus is on organic and inorganic investment opportunities, working in tandem with the individual business teams.
In addition to supporting NBCUniversal’s traditional businesses, the role will include researching and assessing digital opportunities, and shaping new digital strategies for growth within our key international territories.
Exact responsibilities may vary slightly, however the main responsibilities of any Business Development Manager will include :
Assisting VP of Business Development in the execution of their projects
Researching and synthesising market data to identify and evaluate new business areas and potential corporate acquisition / partnership opportunities
Running financial and strategic analysis on competitors and markets
Financial modelling related to organic growth projects and Mergers & Acquisitions
Creating PowerPoint slides to clearly communicate analysis and findings
Presenting analysis to VP of Business Development Directors and senior management, including the MD of EMEA
Supporting the execution of organic growth projects and M&A deals
Liaising with internal / external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
Contributing to ad-hoc projects, which may include conducting research and writing / proofreading copy
Collating various reports and updates for distribution
Keen interest in (and experience / knowledge of) the international media industry (in particular film, TV and / or digital media)
Familiar with emerging digital and mobile technologies
Strong analytical and financial skills, including financial modelling
Proactive and enthusiastic, able to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload across multiple projects
Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
Confident user of Microsoft Office in particular Excel & PowerPoint
Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
Willingness to learn and can-do attitude
Ability to address complex issues and cut through ambiguity
Ability to cope in a fast, dynamic environment, and flexibility to meet tight deadlines
Previous work experience in a similar role within a media organization, management consulting firm, and / or corporate finance / investment banking firm.
Existing knowledge of the film / TV industry or digital media.

Economics, business, management, finance, accounting degree or equivalent with some commercial experience
Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
