The role of the CDM Consultant

  • Identifying and managing design related risks
  • Provide role of Principal Designer where required
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, designers and clients
  • Reviewing and monitoring designers' compliance
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the pre-construction phase of projects
  • Ensuring designers comply with CDM regulations
  • Providing information to contractors to manage health and safety throughout construction phase
  • The Successful CDM Consultant

    The successful CDM Consultant should ideally hold the following :

  • Thorough knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
  • Self-motivated, technically strong, commercially aware and client facing
  • Demonstrate 2-3 years experience as a CDM / Principal Designer Advisor
  • IMaPS status with the Association of Project Safety
  • NEBOSH Construction or General
  • Technical IOSH membership (minimum)
  • The Package of the successful CDM Consultant :

  • Basic Salary of up to £44,000pa
  • Car Allowance of £4k a year
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
