The Role

Global Fac is seeking a data, analytics and innovation leader to steer the business through digital transformation to maintain our differentiation advantage and support accelerated growth.

A key component of the role will be the design, development and delivery of best in class analytics to improve leadership decision making and enhance broking team effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be able to challenge the norms and offer modern day visions on how Global Fac should operate going forward.

They will be responsible for working with all relevant stakeholders to develop, promote and execute a business aligned strategy for the use of data and analytics across the business globally.

The successful candidate will become a part of the Global Fac Leadership Team and report directly into the Head of Global Fac.

The candidate will also be expected to deliver the data and analytics strategy through cross-discipline, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.

Furthermore, manage various analytical teams specialising in natural catastrophe risk management, actuarial science, data management, data science and analytical project management.

The Requirements

  • Experience leading analytical function and actively involved in insurance transactions
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in a numerate subject e.g. mathematics, meteorology, engineering, physics, geophysics desirable
  • Qualified actuary

  • A keen interest in insurance data liquidity, and extracting value from insurance data
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with the leadership team’s and associates of all levels across the business
  • A high degree of knowledge and practical experience of insurance and reinsurance
  • Demonstrable experience of leadership within a data and analytics function in the insurance industry
  • Experience of leading change and successfully delivering complex projects, preferably with direct project management and business analysis experience
  • Experience of designing data processes and managing high volumes of data, preferably property & casualty exposure, claims and broking data
  • Experience and working knowledge of data systems, related software and data management policies in a complex environment
  • Proven record of effective leadership through building highly motivated teams; getting things done through other teams; working ethically.
