At Infinite Talent we currently have an exciting new permanent job opportunity! We are looking for a Head Of Operations to join one of our rapidly growing multi-channel retail clients based in Birmingham.

The client is looking for someone who has ideally came from a small company that has went through a rapid expansion / growth.

The ideal candidate will be head up the operations between both the warehouse and customer service division, so should have the relevant experience in both areas.

  • Coordinate recruitment and training of new staff and acquainting each new member with their work and the standard policies and procedures with which they must comply
  • Ability to work flexibly in a small team, building strong day-to-day relationships with colleagues
  • Key duties will include :

  • Work closely with the Chairman and Shareholders, preparing monthly reports of input and output KPIs, to be defined, agreed & measured
  • Help deliver business strategy and drive continuous business improvement
  • Take responsibility and initiative in smooth running of all business operations to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Enhancement of current courier set up and managing services to align with business requirements and needs
  • Monthly meetings with all key carriers / partners of the business to ensure SLA agreements are being met and maintained (Strategic Partnerships)
  • Ability to show initiative in developing the role and to work with minimal supervision, leading by example
  • Attract, develop, reward and retain the best people
  • Develop, manage and apply IT systems and processes / procedures for operational efficiencies
  • Reviewing supply chain methods and options within the business to ensure that full operational efficiencies are being met
  • Weekly departmental reviews with department managers to ensure business as usual activities are being maintained an met
  • Identify patterns, problem areas and risk and implement effective solutions to increase efficiency and provide quality assurance
  • Develop new external key contacts and strategic partnerships to support operations function (CRM, WMS, and other system / platform partners)
  • Project planning and overseeing general business projects that involve other departments to ensure that key targets and dates of implementation are met
  • Monthly management board meetings with peers and Chairman to review monthly KPI results and review business performance
