Your Team

The Global Trade & Custody Management (GTCM) team provides best in-class trade and custody management support to key business partners, focused on delivering and enhancing high service levels in a global operating environment.

GTCM achieves high quality results by promoting key values across the business unit : collaboration & engagement, enhanced data accuracy & analysis, astute risk management and the optimisation of value-add initiatives.

The Derivatives function within GTCM, provides global end to end trade processing and support to Invesco’s Derivative trading activities, including the development of new instruments and enhancement of existing workflows.

Your Role

As a Derivatives Analyst,you will play an important role in will providing lifecycle management support and oversight for all derivatives operation’s activity.

Focused on Global trading workflows, you will be responsible for overseeing trade processing, confirmations, clearing, collateral management, and reconciliation.

You will join our Henley-based Global Trade & Custody Management department and will report directly to the Derivatives Manager.

You will be expected to develop an advanced level of derivative knowledge, proactively build and develop relationships with internal and external business partners and work within a continuous improvement and risk mitigation culture.

You will be responsible for :

  • Provide business support for all derivatives (OTC & ETD) trading activity.
  • Oversight of all derivative life cycle events including trade capture, affirmations, confirmations, valuations, collateral management, clearing, reconciliation, and cash management
  • Liaises with front office, brokers, custodians, vendors, clients, and all other internal departments to resolve any derivative trade, lifecycle, and reporting related issues or inquiries.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves all trade fails.

  • Performs oversight of vendors for any out-sourced derivative activities and processes, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, variation margin, reporting and collateral.
  • Resolve collateral disputes, escalating potential regulatory breaches so that management, and working with pricing to overcome pricing gaps / issues.
  • The skills and experience you’ll bring

    You will :

  • Have strong previous working experience in a similar role, in the investment industry.
  • Working knowledge of exchange traded (ETD), cleared, and over the counter (OTC) derivatives, collateral, and life cycle events.
  • Able to understand and calculate cashflows related to derivative settlement events, including but not limited to Option Expiries, Resets.
