Community Enhanced Wound Care Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen working with the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust Tissue Viability Specialist Team working within the Integrated Community Care team (ICT)
You will be working under the supervision a Clinical Nurse Specialists in Tissue Viability. You will receive support and supervision to complete a range of competence based assessments by the experienced and highly visible Tissue Viability Specialist team and gain experience in clinical practice.
The successful candidate will act as an expert resource to community and care home staff. The applicant will develop the ability and willingness to participate in some Tissue Viability education programmes with other team members.
The role also provides support to an established TV Link Nurse cohort in their geographical area.
Your main role will be working within the ICTs in the locality to support registered and unregistered staff to achieve competence, skill and experience with Tissue Viability and team management
You will be expected to maintain clinical skills and competence, you will have the ability to work unsupervised, be able to prioritise your workload, have excellent communication skills and the interest and enthusiasm to promote best practice in tissue viability.
As a team player, you’ll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach
The role will cover South East Hampshire, you must be able to drive as you will be asked to support team members throughout the ICT area.
There will also be the expectation that you will support a wound clinic if necessary. Applicants must have a full driving license and full time access to a car.
