Band 7 Tuberculosis (TB) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
it is preferable that the applicant has knowledge, skills and expertise within the area of TB.
We are a tri- site service covering Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s Hospitals caring for in-patients as well as outpatients.
We also have the responsibility for delivering TB healthcare at HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
You will work within a dynamic and collaborative culture that is focused on delivering quality patient care reflected in achievement of our key performance indicators.
You should have the ability to develop skills to manage a designated caseload of patients consisting of adults and pediatrics including those with MDR / XDR, HIV and other co-morbidities.
You will provide standard and complex case management to individuals being investigated and treated for TB, including contact investigation and screening, and Cohort Review.
You must demonstrate skills in effective communication, problem solving and ability to prioritise; support clinical staff in inpatient / outpatient settings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team decisions about patient care.
You will also be required to support with training and development of junior staff, undertake audits and support the lead nurses with projects to develop the service further to meetthe needs of our patient caseload.
As a TB CNS, you will liaise directly with Public Health England, pan London Find & Treat services and colleagues in TB services across London to deliver quality and patient focused care in line with the National Collaborative TB Strategy and TB NICE guidelines.

The shift times vary during the week according to clinics, MDTs and service demands : 9-5pm / 8-4pm / 10-6pm
