The Claims Manager will support the Head of Claims by managing most the day to day issues within the team and acting as a point of escalation.
The role will entail managing 2 direct reports (Marine and Professional / Financial Lines Claims Leaders) as well as 35 indirectly.
Duties will include monitoring policy procedures, SLAs and goals, managing the relationship with the software provider and looking at claims MI which would be useful to extract for the business and translating this.
Additionally the Claims Manager will contribute to developing the strategy for the division and act as the main reporting channel for the business on operational matters including regulatory reporting.
Prospective candidates must have a solid track record in the London claims market, within any type of commercial claims and be a strong leader and stakeholder manager.
The ability to identify developmental needs within the team and to provide appropriate mentoring and coaching is key along with the ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
Experience of interviewing and hiring is desired and a strong academic background.
