Cutting edge technology driven entertainment company that is a market leader in its field. Reporting into the Head of Employment who is based in New York, you will be keen to make your mark as the first employment lawyer outside of the US.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to HR, managers, including key business leaders, and otherinternal lawyers, both within and outside the US, regarding the full range of contentious and noncontentiousemployment and employee benefit issues in the UK, EMEA and APAC, supervisingoutside counsel where appropriate.
  • Maintain and implement employment practices, policies, and procedures applicable in the UK,EMEA and APAC, including with respect to employee data privacy and global mobility.
  • Support HR teams in the UK, EMEA, and APAC on grievance, disciplinary, performance, anddismissal processes
  • Negotiate and review executive employment agreements, independent contractor, and certainrelated vendor agreements.
  • Analyse legislative changes on our employment and employee benefit practices, policies, andprocedures.
  • Build close relationships with HR and Legal in order to foster a partnering approach.
  • Provide compliance training in various areas, including anti-harassment and code of businessconduct.
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    The successful candidate will have : -

  • The ability to work well in a fast-paced, high volume, in-house environment, demonstratingresponsiveness, good business judgment, flexibility, and self-confidence.
  • Demonstrable experience acting as a trusted business partner enabling businesses to measureand manage risk in a changing landscape.
  • The ability to be innovative and provide creative solutions to complex legal problems
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment laws. Knowledge of and experience with employee benefit laws isalso highly valued, as is knowledge of and experience with employment laws in EMEA and APAC.
  • Preferably, a minimum of 5 years' experience practicing employment law.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Solid training in private practice and broad-based employment and employee benefit lawexperience
  • This role would be an excellent move from a leading law firm or a move from another blue chip company.
