The role will involve working with established Net Zero Innovative Industrial Centre research teams. The successful candidate will work with, and be responsible to, the designated PI of the project on a day-to-day basis to increase and sustain research activity through assisting in running funded research projects, project supervision and income generation.

You must have a PhD degree in Digital Control, Mechanical or a related Engineering discipline and have the relevant technical, professional or specialist knowledge in one or two of the following to carry out the role : Smart System, IoT, AI / ML application on decarbonisation data analytics, Industry 4.

Digital Twin, Smart Decision Support Systems for decarbonisation in industrial cluster.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and research skills and a proven ability to apply existing methodology according to the overall context.

It is essential you possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey highly complex information or ideas of a detailed technical or specialist nature.

You will be proficient in communicating to a range of readerships, including academics, professionals, and the general public.

The successful candidate will also be able to plan and prioritise research and resources, be self-directed, team orientated, and possess the ability to liaise with a range of collaborators, internally and externally.

A working knowledge of IT systems design is also essential.
