The Graduate professional services consultant plays an important role in the delivery of projects to our customers, and before that in the preparation of proposals for those customers.
This means : developing an understanding of the Micro Focus products, the customer’s business and IT needs; learning to bring these together to help with solution design and pricing;
configuring software to match the design; and assisting the customer to deliver value from the use of our solution.
To be successful in these activities will require people skills, technical IT ability, creativity and flexibility. You will quickly acquire responsibility for day to day interaction with the customer, both technical and business personnel, as well as with Micro Focus delivery management and software development teams.
You will work with a team who will provide you with support to augment technical training and they will encourage you to operate with the maximum possible autonomy taking responsibility for significant content within each project.
Be a trusted advisor for our customers, build and develop relationships with key technical influencers, decision makers, and top executives.
Understand the function and benefits of the Micro Focus software portfolio and match this to customer business needs to support solution design
Communicate the rationale for solutions to customers
Collaborate with R&D and product teams to understand development directions and to feedback experience from projects
Document and share experience and best practice developments for the rest of the Micro Focus community
Support the deployment of off-shore resources into projects
Create visibility for Micro Focus solution capabilities in and outside Micro Focus (speeches at events and conferences, publications, interviews, )
Realize up sell possibilities through positioning other solutions to the customer
Maintain positive total customer experience (TCE)
Maintain and manage a competitive and appropriate level of technical and professional competence.
Regular reporting of activity and results.
Education and Experience Required
We're looking for people who graduated from universities within the last 12 months or who will graduate within this academic year.
Fluency in English (and local language) as well as proficient use of MS Office applications is a must.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT related discipline is a must (degree obtained on the last 12 months)
Postgraduate degree in IT Service Management will be considered as a plus
Practical related experience (max 12 months) or internship in a similar position will be considered advantageous
Passion for technology, people, business and the interactions between them is a must
Knowledge / Skills Required
Broad knowledge of the IT industry, technical directions and IT solutions.
Solid communication, presentation, and time management skills.
Good level of Technical English
Fast learner with strong team-work spirit & positive thinking attitude
Flexible to learn and develop new skills, competencies, and technical acumen
Proactive with strong results orientation
