We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team, working on a variety of high-tech building design and construction projects.

Project focus would initially be data centres and telecommunications facilities and would grow to include a variety of other facilities including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, or institutional.

This role sits within our global facilities services Mission Critical team, providing an opportunity to build your career and your team to serve this expanding sector.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of several engineering disciplines on mission critical projects.

Specific areas of responsibility include the following, with other duties as assigned by senior management :

Plan, organize and direct engineering projects including the overall safety, cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects.

Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff and sub-contractors.

This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited program.

Minimum 7 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience), including 3 years or more project management experience related to the mission critical industry.

Demonstrated success in project management.

Excellent written, graphical & verbal communication skills with the ability to apply diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a range of assignments and convey messages clearly to clients and team members.

Strong leadership

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.

Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.

Able to ensure deliverables are being developed in accordance with schedule, prioritising tasks to achieve common goals.

Able to analyse potential risks to the schedule or cost schedule and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Team management with the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities, handle conflicts, evaluate performances and coach team members.

Be capable of navigating and interrogating 3D multi-discipline models and other deliverables to assess completeness, level of detail and co-ordination between disciplines, relative to the Scope of Services during and at the completion of each work stage.

Previous consulting experience preferred.
