Chartered Engineer

Minimum 5-years’ experience

Must want to work for a small company.

Able to talk structures and hold their own with fellow Directors

Love of buildings.

Multiple project experience from single beams to much bigger projects

Capable of running a business.

An organized person, able to keep on top of invoicing and other administrative matters.

A conversationalist

Mentoring junior engineers

Good command of the English language

Desirable : Concrete expertise

Knowledge of geology

Environmental awareness / green credentials

An ideas person

Willing to invest in the business, a person who cares about it.

Expert witness

Broad experience including within smaller consultancy.

Timber frame buildings.

Heritage work

A black book of contacts

Company culture :

There is a small, friendly company feel with nice people, quality mark award and a variety of projects.

It is a good place to work and flexible working from home 2-3 days per week as an example, is fine.

Salary :

Circa £50K with the option to buy in. Buying in straight away is an option.

There are options that can be negotiated including putting away part of the salary and sharing profits.
