This is a fixed term contract for 18 months, for a full time post working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday based at the Town Hall.
You will facilitate delivery of the Council’s Climate Change Strategy and provide a centre of expertise within the organisation.
You will co-ordinate the collection and assessment of the Council’s carbon emissions, work across services to promote buy in and secure actions, develop, assess and evaluate proposals, identify and produce funding bids, deliver projects / events, develop policies and guidelines, monitor performance and work with the community and businesses to reduce carbon emissions.
Literacy, numeracy, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are important. You must be able to converse at ease and provide reports, analysis and documentation in accurate English and have the ability to use computer based technology.
