Our dedicated Building Surveying team proactively undertake surveys andproject manage schemes in addition to providing various other services,including condition and acquisition surveys, project monitoring, specificationwriting, contract administration, employer’s agent, neighbourly matters anddilapidations.

We work with retail and aim to strengthen our relationships withcommercial, industrial, education, health, infrastructure and public sectorclients.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to ourclients and enjoy long term relationships them. We have M & E andstructural engineering, with each assignment.

Overview of Role :

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor with a mix ofsurvey, professional and contract administration expertise to join our teamwithin the Manchester Buildings Studio.

  • Subject to performance, we would expect you tomove up to a Technical Director position within a couple of years.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual tostrengthen our department and further develop the business by working closelywith our existing clients and assist in developing new business.

    You won’t beleft on your own and you will be encouraged to develop your business skills andmanage some key accounts, working closely with the Head of Building surveyingto help you achieve your career goals and aspirations.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Providing high calibre service and support for survey, professional and contract administration service lines
  • To support business objectives and our goal to maintain Performance Excellence for clients
  • Being an active part of the building surveying team and working closely with senior managers, who will help you develop your client development skills and business acumen
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
  • Person Specification :

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach tothe role, and will be committed to delivering service excellence, with goodcommercial results.

  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
  • MRICS membership
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects and assignments in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide first class advice to clients
  • Good professional skills, to be developed to an appropriate level as part of the role
  • Excellent specification writing skills and detailed understanding of JCT Contracts
  • Strong track record in contract administration of projects from inception to completion
  • Track record of working with stakeholders
  • Able to build long-term relationships
  • Previously employed by a consultancy
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
  • A team player, outgoing, friendly, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Full driving licence
