Sous Chef required for a busy family dining pub with events - £22,500 plus paid overtime
My client owns a lovely, and very busy, family dining pub in a rural area of Bradford; boasting fantastic transport links.
They pride themselves on ONLY serving home-made food, all produced in house. This site is exceptionally busy and can serve up to 1000 people on a busy Sunday-
in addition they have capacity to cater for weddings and functions of up to 500 people and they hope to be able to develop this side of the business.
They are now looking for a new Sous Chef to join their family run business and help their Head Chef in leading this fantastic team.
As Sous Chef you will be responsible for training and developing your team and liaising with the Head Chef and General Manager to ensure the kitchen is running efficiently.
You will ensure your kitchen department is run as a profitable business, meeting budgets and targets as set by your line manager.
You will lead by example, guiding the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef to ensure the business runs effortlessly.
This position would be ideal for a Sous chef looking for a new challenge or an experienced Senior chef de partie looking to take the next step up.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume site which offers a mixture of restaurant dining and banqueting.
Prior experience of managing stocks, GPs and H&S paperwork would be an advantage. This site is in a semi-rural location, and although it is accessible via public transport, it would be helpful to have your own transport for ease of working hours.
Working for this family run business comes with a host of benefits. You will be rewarded with a salary of £22,500 based on a 48 hour contract any extra hours worked will be paid as pro-
rata’d overtime! After you have found your feet, this position will become a 4 day working week- working together with the Head Chef, the family would like to create a working environment where the team get 3 days off per week!
