Job Description

The Global Program Manager will work amongst a shared services team, reporting directly to the Global Strategic Program Manager.

Primary duties include developing & designing Sales Acceleration curriculums & learning plans covering a broad range of topics.

For example : Channel Sales, Technical product portfolio certifications.

The Program Manager will be continuously & primarily focused on one or more core elements of the Veeam Sales Acceleration (VSA) portfolio, contributing their skillset as / when required for core strategic program management, development & design tasks, or any other reasonable request.

The role requires interaction with the extended executive leadership team of Veeam and has a direct influence on the driving of core Veeam Business Improvement Strategies.

The role also offers scope for creating & establishing new VSA hallmarks of excellence and best practices, working within a fast growing company with great ideas, and a bright future with lots of opportunity to grow and work cross culturally.

At Veeam we follow the ADDIE lifecycle of content development & management. How this applies in the Veeam environment is :

Analysis : working with Sales Enablement Managers, sales leaders & their teams, and product teams to identify what is missing or requires further enhancement to address Veeam sales and marketing employee needs, make recommendations on learning interventions that address the gap in knowledge or enhance sales capability.

Design & Develop : create training programs that educate customers, partners, and employees on what they need to know about Veeam products and solutions.

Implement : implement training programs in line with cultural and regional nuances, ensure a consistent hand over between design and development to regional training teams.

Evaluate & Evolve : continue to monitor and evolve certification programs in line with Veeam’s strategy and Go-To-Market direction.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Owns & manages key sales and technical certification programs, including but not limited to, end-to-end Strategic planning, Program Management, Design & Development, leading contributors of the design & development process and maintaining long-term accuracy of content, modifying and / or redevelopment as & when business objectives require it to change.
  • Work alongside regional Sales Acceleration teams to gather training needs & knowledge gaps to identify how an identified training need might be executed.
  • Developing & designing training interventions using the ADDIE process, engaging with key stakeholders and gaining relevant sign off along the design journey.
  • Hosts collaboration sessions on Veeam Sales & Marketing courseware to promote new & existing programs.
  • Encourages the use of a variety of instructional methods to ensure maximum delivery effectiveness, including individual or small group instruction (such as Train The Trainer), classroom, eLearning, Video On-Demand, self-study, simulation & role play exercises, distance learning, webinars, video conferencing, etc.
  • Supports regional Sales Acceleration team to implement core programs.
  • Creates & executes Master Trainer and Train the Trainer (T3) processes for internally developed content.
  • Design & produce global interactive, engaging course materials primarily for new and existing Veeam employees, customers, & Channel partners.
  • Content will include (but not be limited to) selling skills, product knowledge, and operating in the Veeam partner ecosystem.

  • Create storyboards, PowerPoint Presentations, Facilitator & Participant Guides, classroom supporting materials in line with corporate brand standards, for Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual ILT & eLearning, regardless of authoring tool, which includes fonts and colours and animations.
  • Collaborate with developers / graphics designers to construct course materials where required.
  • Coordinate with the Global Certification Specialist to complete a job analysis, create a blueprint, and execute upon the design plan.
  • Coordinate with ROI specialist to ensure that programs are fully measured.
  • Submit materials for regular reviews throughout the ADDIE process and maintain accurate reports via the project reporting tool(s).
  • This includes making changes following review meetings and maintaining program updates beyond sign-off as / when required or during planned course reviews.

  • Helps support & develop department best practices, policies, and structure.
  • Produce comprehensive reports that show the full extent of the Business Impact of programs managed and proves the continuous ROI value.
  • Required Experience, Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable experience building & implementing enablement curriculums. Doing so within a corporate environment and for technology sellers is a plus.
  • Training curriculum development & coordination for a channel / reseller / distributor centric sales environment in a fast-pace & high growth environment.
  • Training sales people via a solution-oriented sales methodology.
  • Creating blended learning experiences.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to manage many projects & tasks simultaneously.
  • Effectively manages constructive feedback in regards to the positive development of programs & associated work streams.
  • Able to travel up to 40% of the time with some international travel (VISAs will be required).
  • Experience with or similar CRM.
  • Experience with product enablement.
  • Familiarity with customer-centric sales methodologies and their adaptation into a sales environment is desirable e.g. Richardson, Franklin Covey, Huthwaite, Challenger model etc.
  • Familiarity with certification standards such as ANSI or ISO.
