Acting as a lead point of contact for all legal support for Brand Addition and acting as a key support for the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in assisting with Board and Committee support, Risk and Compliance matters and Corporate Governance.

Brand Addition Legal

Co-ordinating and overseeing Brand Addition's framework for review and negotiation of commercial contracts, including developing policies and procedures within which to do so.

Working alongside key business teams within Brand Addition to implement more efficient and agile processes for review, negotiation, execution and management of commercial contracts.

Reviewing, drafting, revising and leading negotiation on a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, third party partners and others.

Including distribution agreements, master services agreements, supply contracts, technology services contracts, licenses, website documentation, supply chain documentation, non-disclosure agreements and other commercial agreements relating to the support of Brand Addition’s products & services.

Ensuring all key commercial contract templates are in place and remain fit for purpose, subject to continuous improvement to balance the need to protect Brand Addition and mitigate risk with efficiency and ease of use by third parties.

Managing disputes with suppliers or customers or other third parties to ensure the best outcome for Brand Addition.

Researching and responding to general legal inquiries from internal clients relating to a wide range of commercial law, data protection, intellectual property and compliance matters, and advising business on appropriate legal action to be taken.

Identifying ways to enhance and support internal processes and procedures and work with other members of the legal, finance and compliance team and the wider business to ensure the swift and efficient provision of legal / contract support.

Managing relationships with external legal counsel and ensuring the cost-effective use of external legal advice where deemed necessary.

Brand Addition Data Protection

Monitoring Brand Addition's ongoing compliance with GDPR and other data privacy legislation and best practice; assisting with the delivery of Data Protection training for staff.

Maintaining Brand Addition’s data governance framework and undertaking data mapping and data sharing reviews globally.

Responding to complaints or requests arising from GDPR.

Reviewing, drafting, revising and leading negotiation on data related agreements, such as processing or data sharing agreements.

The Pebble Group plc Board & Committee, Risk & Compliance and Corporate Governance

Assisting the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary with the following :

Effective and efficient Secretariat services to the Group’s Boards & Committees and the Executive Leadership Team, including preparing agendas, co-ordinating the production of Board papers and minutes and record-keeping.

Ensuring that appropriate, effective and up to date Risk Management and Corporate Governance arrangements are in place across the Group.

Management and understanding of the Group’s insurances.

Input into Group annual reporting.

Essential Skills and Experience Required :

Post-qualification commercial legal experience in private practice and / or as in-house legal counsel.

Demonstrable ability and experience in reviewing, drafting, revising a range of commercial contracts.

Excellent negotiation skills and experience of leading negotiations.

Experience and good working knowledge of Intellectual Property law.

Experience and good working knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection law and regulation, and awareness of information security requirements.

Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.

Qualifications :

Law degree (or equivalent post graduate legal qualification) and current English qualified lawyer.

Circa 4 years PQE.
