Lusona Consultancy are working in partnership with a global specialist in compostable catering equipment who are based in the City Centre of Edinburgh and they are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Assistant.
The Supply Chain Assistant will work as part of the Supply Chain Team and will be responsible for placing purchase orders and ensure they are delivered on-time.
Responsibilities of the role will include;
Placing purchase orders with suppliers for standard and non-standard items
Managing customer schedules for non-standard items
Ensure all internal systems are updated with stock levels and purchase order information
Update internal colleagues and customers with any changes to planned delivery dates
Support with stock management in multiple warehouse locations
Liaise with internal colleagues in production, logistics and distribution
Experience and knowledge required for the role;
Experience of working within a Supply Chain, Purchasing or Planning department
Experience of working with a FMCG or Manufacturing organisation would be advantageous
Understanding of how Supply Chain works
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that experiences constant change
Hands on, motivated and have bags of enthusiasm
The successful candidate will receive full training in Demand Planning.
