https : / / vimeo.com / showcase / 6052297 / video / 341298006 The role To support the Revenue Assurance Manager in day to day tasks while also providing freedom to investigate untapped areas of potential in the revenue assurance and tariff assurance space.
What you'll do
Work with large volumes of data to draw out business insights, highlight opportunities, and spot issues / risks
Build models / reporting / dashboard solutions using tools such as MS Excel, Looker, QlikSense
Produce and enhance existing revenue assurance reports
Support in the tariff assurance workstream, expanding checks as necessary.
On a day to day basis this looks like :
Produce regular revenue assurance and tariff assurance reporting
Gain in depth knowledge of UWs billing system and data reporting processes and complete monthly Excel analysis to support the companies cross functional billing teams
Validate UWs wholesale invoices and develop an understanding of gross margin drivers
Complete key parts of the companies energy pricing and forecasting processes presenting to Senior Management when necessary
Become a SME in energy settlement especially understanding the current / future drivers that will impact the finance team
Work closely with the following teams and support them in relevant activities as necessary : finance (especially the forecasting team), settlement performance, codes, contracts and energy billing
Conceptually be able to solve new problems, identify the relevant data sources; analyse the data; and build a solution using the various tools we have access to (e.g. MS Excel)
Provide insight and commentary on monthly happenings and present clearly in both written and oral form including monthly presentations to the senior finance team
Meet with external organisations such as Elexon, Xoserve, AUGE, Ofgem, Gentrack etc to gain a better understanding of relevant external factors that affect revenue assurance
Support relevant external regulatory data requests where necessary
Document all existing processes clearly
Assist the Revenue Assurance Manager in the testing and development of new models.
Who were looking for (Essential Skills)
Proven analytical skills such as a 2 : 1 and above in a degree such as mathematics degree (or a degree including Statistics module(s) or similar)
Excellent communication skills (particularly in written content production)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks
Strong attention to detail, excellent numeracy understanding with strong emphasis on financials
Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people
Intermediate / Advanced MS Excel skills.

Knowledge of SQL
Knowledge and experience of Qliksense
Knowledge of energy billing
