Reporting into : VP Communications & Content

Overview of role :

The Content Marketing Manager (CMM) will be responsible for producing long-form and short-form content for marketing campaigns.

The CMM executes the full content production process, from generating specific topics and ideas to align with the company’s editorial calendar, producing or sourcing content, editing content, and delivering full content packages to marketing stakeholders.

That includes creating original and repurposing existing content such as blog posts, long-form whitepapers and ebooks, PPT decks, thought leadership, newsletter and email copy, and more.

The CMM will manage Cision blogs, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality content.

The Content Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Communications and Content, and together they will develop and execute on the marketing editorial calendar to support demand generation, product marketing, field marketing, communications and web teams.

Duties and responsibilities :

  • Create original content for marketing activities
  • Manage blog calendar and posts, including writing original content and overseeing third-party contributions (this may vary for international markets)
  • Source content ideas to align with organizational goals and editorial calendar themes
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect raw content material
  • Ensure all deadlines and brand guidelines are met
  • Coordinate with design team to produce final collateral, including supporting assets
  • Disseminate content to internal and external audiences
  • Update or repurpose existing content to meet current brand guidelines
  • Provide regular reporting on key content metrics
  • Support comms, demand generation, field marketing, product marketing, and web teams
  • Provide copy writing and copy editing support for other marketing activities as needed
  • Localize or regionalize content for local markets as needed
  • Manage social media accounts as needed (this may vary for international markets)
  • Essential Skills and Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years of content development, copy writing or applicable marketing experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience with blog and CMS software, including AEM, Hubspot, Uberflip
  • Experience with social and digital media
  • Knowledge of SEM / SEO concepts
