About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Bid Manager to join our Power Transmission & Distribution business.
Based in Derby , this role will report into the Bid Manager and work on one of our projects.
Role Purpose :
To take a key role within the bid team which involves researching, writing, managing and facilitating bidding from expression of interest through to tender award.
What you'll be doing
As an Assistant Bid Manager you will :
Research and write EOI, prequalification and tender responses which you are allocated;
Contribute to executive summaries;
Ensure quality of PQQ / tender submissions for which you are responsible and attend workshops, peer reviews and red line reviews;
Support on preparation of response templates / Gantt Charts / Time Lines and Allocation Forms for each bid and set up meetings as necessary;
Own parts of the Production Line Process as directed by the BD Team;
Organise bid correspondence and maintain up to date bids folders with appropriate sign-offs;
Liaise with marketing in developing the bid design.
You will have good :
Research and writing skills;
Eye for details;
Appreciation of design and presentation material / submissions;
IT skills, particularly MS Word and MS PowerPoint and a good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Project.
