We are one of Bristol’s emerging leading care provider, we specialise in supporting people to live a full and meaningful life for people that are affected by learning disabilities and mental health.
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our fantastic service and team and to support our residents in our home.
We help incredible people , our role is to help develop them emotionally, socially and educate them. We are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on the people that stay with us, some of them may have trouble with their emotions, communicating or dealing with situations that many people find simple.
Our service is particularly special as we’re focused on providing a holistic approach to the care we provide for those in our service.
There is little personal care we are more focused on creating an environment of companionship.
You will be responsible for helping look after the people in our care; we work with each person to provide them with individual and specific goals, whether that be education, care plans or helping them with skills to ultimately achieve independence, the key thing is to provide a care plan that achieves what the service user wants to achieve.
A huge part of what you’ll do is be a friend to them, someone that pays attention and genuinely cares , you’ll get involved with activities like taking them out to the shops, maybe it’s swimming lessons or just getting them out and about having fun.
Do you have a hobby you’re particularly passionate about? We’d love for you to share it with our residents. It’s all about creating the most natural and stimulating life possible for the people in our care, that’s why there’s no uniform, we want you to take the people in care out and do fun stuff isn’t that what we all want in life!?
The way your week will be balanced is that over the course of the week you’ll spend 20 / 25% in the office co-ordinating the care hours and the rest of the time working with service users in their own homes across Bristol.
As our service grows so will your role and we’ll be looking for you to spend more time in the office arranging hours.
You will have ideally have experience of CARAS / CM2000 or PASSSystem, where you will have organised hours of domiciliary care.
You will of course, be enthusiastic about care ; it s all about making people feel valued and providing the best level of support possible.
