The Support Operations Project Manager will be responsible for driving smaller strategic and tactical projects across the Support Operations business.
These projects will require a high degree of collaboration with stakeholders across the Micro Focus business, hence excellent communications and listening skills are a must.
The projects will vary in nature and size and will depend on current business events, therefore analytical skills and an inquisitive mind-
set are key success factors for this role. It is critical that the candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working independently.
In addition to Project Management responsibilities, the role will work closely with Sales Operations team to support the development of sales incentive plans, quota assignments, structure and incentive programs throughout the year.
The role will provide good ongoing information to the sales commissions director and team to help with implementation of the sales plans, structures and quotas.
The role reports to the Support Operations and BI Director, the role of Support Operations Project Manager does not manage any staff.
Accountable for planning, driving and delivering ad hoc projects across the Support Operations business
Enable the Support Operations function to become more effective and efficient through investigation and analysis of current practices and subsequent implementation of process and / or systems improvements
Communicate effectively with the Support Operations and BI Director and the VP of Support Operations
Design Sales plans, including Sales Reps, Sales Managers, Maintenance Renewals Reps and Managers, Services bonus staff (PS and Pre Sales), Product management
Review territory assignment models, analyse to maximise their effectiveness whilst managing commissions costs
Review and finalise quota assignments
Prepare A1 quota structures and revisions throughout year
Assist with the design and be responsible for the issue of Special Incentive programs throughout year. These will be distributed to the Sales teams by Sales Operations
Support the Commissions Review Board
Subject Matter Expert to provide expert advice to the project team who will design and implement a revised global commissions process and system
Good communication with Sales Commissions manager to educate on the sales plans, structure and quotas
Minimum 2 : 1 Bachelor Degree
Excellent computer skills including a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot tables, macros, embedded what if)
Numerate and strong analytical skills
Highly organised and with common sense
Ability to interpret sales incentive plan documentation (previous experience of sales incentive design preferred)
Ability to communicate fluently with Commissions Team, Sales Management, business users, technical people and management across the organisation
Excellent work ethic, imaginative, dependable, responsible, and strong self-motivation and able to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
