We are recruiting for a Material Hub Focal Point on a 12 month contract for our client in Aberdeen.

ROLE

To ensure that material and equipment is delivered to the platform as per planned work scopes and priorities are effectively managed.

Undertaking a demanding workload and self-managing daily tasks and requirements. The position is the first point of contact for operations and maintenance on any material queries and further operational support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all operations and maintenance materials arrive on the platform by the requested date via air or sea freight and that the planners are aware of any delay, enabling a robust work execution plan.
  • Achieve cost savings by identifying and challenging unnecessary material and equipment purchases and hires and provide advice and support on efficient material management to all personnel.
  • Responsible for tracking, maintaining & providing status updates on materials using the Shutdown Activity Register (SDAR).
  • Comply with Shutdown Execution Process for material control and management. During shutdown phase, liaise with Engineering materials to understand their requirements and align with the overall company staging and shipping process.

    Ensure shutdown equipment and materials are returned onshore in timely manner.

  • Project material planning, coordination and execution.
  • Creating and reviewing shipping and material management processes and procedures, improving current working practices and problem solving to meet business needs.
  • Providing operational support to onshore and offshore asset teams including Maximo training and Maximo administrative support.
  • Review Airfreight pro-formas verifying it is the appropriate shipping method, providing approvals and dangerous goods guidance.
  • Attend appropriate planning to understand business priorities and ensure material requirements will be fulfilled.
  • Ensure vendor material invoices can be matched and paid according to company payment terms.
  • Undertaking other tasks as required operationally to support assets and being flexible in approach to changeable working environment.
  • Seek and implement continual improvement across the materials function and provide solutions to shipping and material problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

  • Maximo Super User
  • Previous material related role
  • Preferred

  • Experience of procurement, Inventory, Expediting, Dangerous Goods, Air and Sea Logistics
  • EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

    Essential

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Education to at least Higher Standard
  • IT literate : Maximo, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Previous material coordination experience within operational support in Oil and Gas sector
  • ADDITIONAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • On Call rotation - experience required in working under pressure and out of normal working hours.
  • Ability to interface professionally with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritise and self-manage workload with a high level of organizational skills.
