Based either at one of our main R&D sites in Raleigh or Boston (USA), Monheim (Germany), or Slough (UK), or at our Headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), we are looking for an : Global Program Manager

The primary accountability of a Global Program Manager (GPM) is to drive differentiated patient solutions by transforming UCB’s strategy into program and project delivery.

A GPM’s role is, together with the team, to initiate, plan, execute, monitor / control and ultimately close a program to successfully realize the intended benefits.

This includes overseeing any sub-projects and programs.

  • Proactively ensure that program goals and strategies are appropriately framed, scoped and delivered with risks identified, mitigated and transparently reported in line with UCB’s standards and processes
  • Support the team in framing program goals and objectives
  • Set program planning baseline
  • Oversee budgeting and resourcing
  • Execute programs and projects
  • You will contribute by :

  • Driving the development of differentiated patient solutions through framing the strategies using Program and Project Management standards and processes
  • Ensuring appropriate program strategies are in place to meet the overall goals
  • Partnering with Finance to set, oversee and monitor the program development budget, with appropriate change controls and probabilization for key program and project milestones.
  • Being responsible for program execution through the team and overseeing sub-projects
  • Setting and monitoring program and project quality and performance including overall objectives, milestones, KPIs and metrics, feedback-based project reviews and transition management in line with UCB processes and standards
  • Managing the project communication plan to identify the key messages, audiences, interfaces, timings and mechanisms for effective communication at all levels including externally to the organization.
  • Driving best in industry practices by contributing lessons learned, challenges, solutions and involvement in process improvement projects
  • Training colleagues on Program and Project Management Best practices and processes as needed and stimulate adoption to drive overall effectiveness and quality

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Relevant Master’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Project Management Role, or related function, ideally within Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience of working with global, multi-cultural, diverse teams, with demanding timelines and complex deliverables.
  • Experience with working in cross-functional teams focused on the development of a product, including Global Regulatory Affairs (including submission management
