We are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our Building team to work across a range of projects in Bristol and the Regions to support the roll out of the Skanska UK Environment Strategy.

You will also promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement of Skanska Environment, Sustainability and Community Relations performance through construction.

Our UK-wide building team has built a reputation for high quality offices in commercial and mixed use developments, healthcare, custodial, defence, and education.

Our award-winning projects include Heron Tower, The Gherkin, RAF Wyton, Bristol School, Barts and the Royal London Hospitals.

With such diverse work on our books, you’ll be involved in some of the UK’s most important development projects.

The Environment Advisor will create a culture where environment and sustainable best practice are embedded into the day-to-day running of the operations.

You’ll :

  • Promote continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability performance of the project
  • Provide direction, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their environmental duties and responsibilities
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure legal compliance to applicable environmental legislation is maintained
  • Implement the requirements of Skanska’s Integrated Management System Our Way of Working’ at project level to meet the requirements of ISO 14001
  • Support the delivery of BREEAM certification on projects including the assessment of evidence and the assimilation of monthly data
  • We’re looking for :

    Degree level in appropriate Environmental / Sustainability discipline

    Construction industry experience (essential)

    BREEAM (or other green certification scheme) experience (desirable)

    Practical knowledge of environmental legislation (desirable)

    Relevant CSCS Card
