Salary : £17,500 - £19,000 per annum

Working hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm

About the role

To ensure that a goods inwards and distribution service is available to customers on a daily basis, responding to customer’s requirements and ensuring that an efficient service is provided.

Member of an admin resource pool, responsible for providing a range of administrative support within and across services as determined by the Team Manager.

Responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient, professional & flexible administrative service to support clients.

Undertaking a wide range of technical / specialist admin tasks as directed, whilst maintaining high standards of work.

What you will do :

The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the business / client, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below :

  • Liaise in a professional manner with clients, colleagues and suppliers to ensure the provision of an efficient and prompt service.
  • Receive deliveries and goods inwards and ensure onward distribution. Deliver to customers throughout West Sussex as appropriate following set routes.
  • Check deliveries against copy orders to ensure they are correct on arrival.
  • Maintain records to ensure accurate management information is available and up to date, including records for recharging purposes.
  • Maintain stock levels and advise on and order any new items of stock, and check stock prices.
  • Provide written quotations / estimates for substantial or unusual deliveries or services.
  • Remain up to date and compliant with all relevant organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct in order to uphold standards of best practice.

    Your experience will include :

  • Ability to provide a quality and timely service to customers.
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy and bulky packages.
  • Competent IT skills in order to produce stock sheets, and monitor stock levels and the ability to support word processing, data processing within a generic admin support team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate with suppliers and customers in an appropriate manner.
  • Good at organising day to day workload in order to follow / meet a given brief.
  • The job will be subject to competing priorities and will require the job holder to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • The job requires extended periods of concentration in order to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Initiative : Works within recognised procedures to meet business needs.
