An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a suitably qualified Social Worker to be based at the Adult Social Care Management Team in Bridlington.
and for newly qualified social workers to take the next step in their professional career within a well-established local authority.
The role of social worker will be to work as an autonomous professional, demonstrating expert and effective practice in complex situations.
This will include working with people and carers through the assessment process to identify, build and maintain family and social networks, to support and enable people and carers to actively stay well and independent, in line with strength based approaches a key in promotion of independence, wellbeing and choice.
There is an expectation that you will have creative conversations with the people using services which focus on goal setting and outcomes.
You must be a registered social worker with experience of adult social care settings. You must demonstrate a good knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and ability to work within the legislative framework of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and the Human Rights Act.
Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and working within safeguarding procedures is key to this role.
You must have excellent communication skills, the resilience to work under pressure and be flexible in your approach. Dependent on your experience you will be required to undertake the formal supervision of unqualified staff.
