Source and analyse novel data sets using creative approaches; employ third-party ETL packages where appropriate
Train, test, and assess the viability of models using standard Python packages (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Integrate modern front-end interactivity and visualizations into the model workflow (e.g. via Plotly, Bokeh or Vue)
Contribute across the entire development process : from proof-of-concept to prototyping to production
Explore current state-of-the-art modeling approaches in the literature and adapt existing code to solve business challenges
Position Requirements :
Bachelor or Master’s degree in data science, computer studies, financial engineering or equivalent
Experience in presenting complex technical aspects of your work to non-specialists
Familiarity with data sources and data-related challenges in the financial industry
Familiarity with credit risk management and credit assessment would be a plus
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (e.g. AWS) would also be a plus
Proficiency in Python data science packages, such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow and / or PyTorch
Strong ability to assess the performance of models and present findings in novel visual formats
Passion for thinking creatively about applications of machine learning and NLP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational skills with the ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change
