Reality Capture & Survey Sales Specialist

We are a progressive company supplying survey solutions to civil engineering, construction and land surveying industries.
We specialise in bringing innovative technology to market including the most advanced GNSS, mobile mapping, 3D laser scanners, UAV’S and total station solutions available to geospatial professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
It is critical to achieve individual sales targets and Gross margins (via ANSP) targets and team targets.
To focus on growing the existing business and finding new business with new and existing customers across the building construction industry.
Working directly with the Industry Manager to deliver an accurate sale forecast along with detailed action / activity reports.
Survey and Reality Capture (not limited to) is a strong market for LGS products as such, we will have identified accounts these will be geographically split.
This role will manage one of these territories. The role will ensure that these identified accounts are correctly managed, supported and grown.
To identify new markets within this industry and work to exploit these markets by creating opportunities for more business for LGS products
To identify competition accounts in this industry and nurture them to try and convert them over to Leica technology
The role will actively promote new technology adoption within the industry. It is also expected to increase the sales revenue and introduce initiatives.
e.g. framework agreements.
This role is also expected to perform a general sales role of all technology within the Survey and Reality Capture industry
It is expected that the sales specialist has a strong understanding of their industry. It is important that this person has a working knowledge of the majority of the solutions applicable to this industry.
This is also pertinent to competitors offering.
Significant level of sales pipeline management is required to ensure that all sales leads are followed through to conclusion, all within SFDC
Collaborate with all key internal stakeholders to ensure they are clear with the direction of business and can provide any necessary support to achieve the overall business goals and targets
RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep up to date with products and competitor’s activity and general market conditions.
Promote the company’s products / services addressing or predicting customers objectives. Actively promote new products and developments to existing and new customers.
Generate product development ideas via discussion with the product sales specialists.
Provide reliable and accurate feedback to senior management on general market conditions.
You will at times be asked to compile and deliver reports in and around your business area. These are expected to be comprehensive and delivered within agreed timescale.
Maintain internal communication at all times and have an understanding of roles within the wider context of the organisation.
Attend industry and company specific conferences and events
Disciplined use of CRM and other administrative requirements
All meetings should be accurately minuted and actions followed in a timely manner.
To complete in a timely manner all internal on-line training courses
To adhere to all statutory regulations and to LGS company policies at all times

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Higher education qualifications
Proven industry experience in selling product & services to end users.
Knowledge of wide range of surveying equipment and requirements of the users of such equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions
Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic
Ability to work across the regional area at least 4 days per week, often staying away from home
Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
Willingness to business travel
Adheres to Hexagon values
LANGUAGE
English fluent written and verbal
Ability to write reports, business plans, business correspondence and forecasting
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
TRAVEL
Domestic and some international travel will be required for this role
COMPUTER SKILLS
Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Working knowledge of CRM software solutions (e.g. Salesforce.com )
