Amazon is looking for an individual to join Amazon’s Energy & Environment team, positioned within the Worldwide Sustainability organization, to manage energy efficiency projects in Europe.
We look for a professional with experience managing energy efficiency improvement projects in large industrial facilities.
The candidate will help to develop an energy efficiency culture across our facilities through regular workshops, audits and field visits in which teach our facility managers how to improve their performance and reduce costs.
The candidate will have an strong technical understanding of building systems such as HVAC, BMS and lighting, and a general pre-
disposition to learn and deep dive in other technical areas. The candidate will have significant experience working in large facilities and with operational teams, will be a good communicator and used to translate complex technical requirements into easily understandable action possibilities.
The candidate will have experience organizing training, workshops and communication material. Will be fluent in English, with a second European language as an strong asset.
The candidate will be available to travel to our facilities and be highly independent and self-driven with a results oriented mindset, capable of earning trust easily from operational stakeholders.
The candidate will also manage on-site execution of some projects and retrofits, in coordination with site facility managers.
For this, the candidate will have experience managing facilities or construction works, understanding of Health and Safety requirements and strong leadership skills to manage contractors and obtain results (schedule, budget, quality).
He / she will have to interact with multiple stakeholders, obtain information from several sources, and be able to identify and prioritize best opportunities for action with biggest impact for Amazon.
The candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, being able to summarize information and provide clear narrative for action plans.
The position will be based in Luxembourg or London, with frequent travels to facilities across Europe.
