Kier Workplace Services is looking to recruit a Mobile Fabric Engineer to work upon a Technical Services contract we hold with Royal Berkshire Fire Service and Bracknell Council.

The successful post-holder will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts, and minor installation works on building fabric.

Key Responsibilities :

  • General fault finding and repair to sanity ware, drainage above and below ground and building fabric components and architecture
  • Maintain up to date records of all work carried out on plant and equipment within the site manuals, both hard copy files and electronic
  • To participate within an out of normal working hours emergency call out rota and be flexible outside of core working hours
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, customers and work as part of a team
  • Continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to customer care
  • Ensure clear communication with customers, line management and office support staff
  • Carpentry, tiling, flooring, locking and minor roof repairs
  • Comply with company safety rules and maintain a high standard of discipline
  • KeySkills and Qualifications :

  • A self-starter, able to work efficiently inseveral properties on any given day.
  • The properties are largely residential and anEnhanced DBS will be required to work around vulnerable people.
  • City and Guilds in Carpentry
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
  • Holder of a Full UK driving licence
  • Holds the relevant industry qualifications
  • Holder of a CSCS card
  • Working at Height / IPAF / PASMA certification
  • Good communication skills both written andverbal
  • Willing to attend training courses and workoutside normal working hours as and when required to meet the needs of theclients
