Job description

The department of health, care and early years is looking for inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teacher to deliver on a range healthcare, early and social care study programmes.

This role involves preparation, delivery and assessment on health and social care study programmes and could include level 1 to Higher Education programmes.

You should be an excellent teacher and would have responsibility for preparation of high quality lesson documentation and resources and would be expected to share best practice and resources with all staff in the department.

You would be required to work as part of the course team and support the curriculum leader to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success.

You should have experience and knowledge of quality processes and procedures including internal moderation up to and including HE level.

The role requires you to monitor and track the learner journey and to ensure appropriate support is implemented to maximise learner achievement, success and excellent outcomes for all learners.

You will have a solution focused and positive work ethic and will share best practice with other members of the team. You will be required to be flexible in your approach with a can-do, will-do’ attitude.

You should have excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with excellent time management skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The successful applicant will have a related degree level / vocational qualification in the curriculum area and should have relevant vocational experience in the field of health and social care.
