Sandoz is currently recruiting for a Key Account Specialist to work across territory on the Eastern side of England, from Newcastle to Cambridge.

Job purpose

The purpose of the role is to influence at all levels of the local health economy ensuring that Sandoz is viewed as a partner, collaborating internally and externally to optimise patients access to Sandoz products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and activity targets nationally (and regionally where appropriate) for promoted Sandoz products.
  • Anticipates macro trends and shifts in the marketplace which trigger customer strategy review and is called upon when shaping or reshaping strategical and operational frames.
  • To proactively maintain expert level knowledge of products, therapy areas and have a complete understanding on the NHS environment (including funding streams) both at a National level and throughout the local health economy.
  • Develops high quality account plans through effect analysis of available data in order to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Has an oversight of all account plans held in their therapy areas by other local KAM’s with collaborative working across Medical, Specialty Marketing, National Account Managers, and other business units to ensure the success of Sandoz products locally and nationally.
  • To generate new business leads, competitive intelligence and create a positive environment for current and future Sandoz brands.
  • Geographical mobility and flexibility to meet business strategic needs within therapy area.

  • Minimum requirements

    The ideal candidate will :

  • Be educated to degree level in a business or science subject.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • ABPI qualified.
  • Branded pharmaceutical sales experience in selling to secondary care specialists.
  • Experience with strategic NHS including NHS England, CCGs, and Hospital Trusts.
  • Experience or knowledge of joint working with key stakeholders across health economies.
  • Ideally, commercial experience dealing with contracts through CMU as well as local volume based hospital contracts.
  • Demonstrated sales success within Pharma.
  • Ideally good networks and relationships nationally within disease area and high level payors.
  • Highly organised and efficient, whilst maintaining flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
