Internal Sales Account Coordinator

c£18,000 Per Annum (negotiable for the right person)

  • c£1,000.00 bonus per annum (paid monthly)

  • Our client’s business operates in various functionalities as part of its group of companies and is proud to be a leading distributor of sealing solutions to varied sectors;
  • as well as this they also manufacture gaskets and plastic packaging and sell corporate clothing. The business forms part of a 150 year old privately owned group of companies with an excellent reputation;
  • the company has a real family’ feel about it and everyone is there to help each other wherever possible, no one is just a number’ and each member of staff has an integral role within the business.

    They are based in Barnsley, located close to both Rotherham and Doncaster and just a 10 minute car journey from Junction 36 of the M1 for Sheffield and Wakefield commuters too.

    The Role :

    We are looking for someone who will not only possess the right personal qualities to join our client’s well-established team but also someone whom has experience in a similar role -

    dealing with customer accounts and managing the sales administration process. You will be focusing on the plastic packaging side of the business, but any experience of gaskets or seals will be beneficial dealing with a variety of different customers.

    You will be working in a busy office environment primarily dealing with existing accounts but also new enquiries; full technical, product and computer training will be given.

    Your Duties Will Include :

  • Quoting customers by telephone and email
  • Processing orders and enquiries
  • Preparing quotations and following them up
  • General account development building rapport and getting to know your customers’ needs in order to promote the best products to them for their industry and needs.
  • Working with the Marketing Director on special projects to promote products
  • Attending trade fairs when required
  • The Ideal Candidate :

  • Someone who is confident and enjoys dealing with customers on the telephone (this is essential criteria)
  • Someone of a naturally friendly and out-going disposition
  • Someone who has a professional telephone manner and knows how to communicate with different people
  • Someone of smart appearance (your attendance at trade shows may be required)
  • Someone that thrives on being organised an punctual at their workstation
  • Someone who enjoys working under a degree of pressure
  • Someone that is computer literate to an intermediate level
