The role is a volunteering position within the Student Wellbeing team to provide one to one counselling to KU Students. This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified counsellors to gain experience in a Higher Education setting and gain hours toward professional accreditation.
Student Wellbeing is part of the Services for Student directorate and provides a wide range of activities and support to KU students, the aim of these services is to provide a confidential and student centred support throughout their journey as Kingston University students.
Kingston University’s Student Wellbeing Service is seeking a qualified Counsellor to join the existing team in a voluntary capacity commencing on September 2019, the successful candidate will work from an Integrative, Transpersonal, Person centred or Gestalt approach, will be qualified to a minimum of Diploma level with 120+ one-
to-one client hours experience.
We expect the associate counsellor to be able to commit to the University for one full academic year (from September until June).
We provide in-house supervision every other Thursday afternoon.
