About the role
As a member of the well respected Internal Audit department you will be responsible for providing the LV Board with independent assurance of the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.
You will be engaging with a wide range of business stakeholders across all levels and will be working on a variety of internal audit assignments.
When undertaking audit and advisory assignments you will be required to assess risks, apply internal control concepts and assess exposures from ineffective or missing control practices.
You will also be responsible for drafting audit reports for the stakeholders and will support senior management in the development of audit plans and enhancements to operating practices.
For compliance audits of regulated processes, CF1-5 or equivalent is required
You’ll have a proven background in internal / external audit or risk management along with an in-depth understanding of these areas as well as internal controls and auditing techniques.
Having a qualification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA or coming to the end of the qualification is essential along with experience of working within the Financial Services industry preferably within the Life or General Insurance sector.
You are able to demonstrate a balance between pragmatism and innovation when solving business problems and will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all business levels.
Having experience of working within change projects in an audit capacity as well as being self motivated and organised to enable effective daily operation is also essential for this role.
