JOB DETAIL

To work as an integral part of the development team in producing innovative food products that can be mass produced without any loss of quality or taste that reflect our customer's trends and requirements.

Provide support at all key stages from concept / ideation to handover to the Process team ensuring a smooth transition

Role Accountabilities :

  • Support the team to develop new and existing products and processes by considering and applying market and consumer trends
  • Research the market and innovative ways of working to suggest new product and ideas taking into account comparative products from major retailers and trends within the dining experience
  • Develop new products and record all the required information to generate an accurate costing to required margins to ensure commercial viability
  • Be proactive in your approach to exceed internal and / or external customer expectations by anticipating future opportunities and requirements within your areas of responsibility
  • Support the Senior Development Technologist by presenting facts, ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to the customers
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to ensure that products have a successful launch and manufacturing life
  • Plan, organise and control resources to deliver concept samples to the agreed quality standards and timescales, ensuring that communication to the wider team occurs
  • Assists in the monitoring and benchmarking of product quality of new and existing products and communicates results to drive improvements to make ours the market leader.
  • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • You will need a passion for food and have or be working to a qualification in Food science, you will need a keen eye for detail and it is essential you have a driving licence
  • 2 years’ experience in a process / technical / manufacturing role within the food industry & experience of working with salad based products would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational, investigative problem solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to influence colleagues at all levels within the business.
  • Drive, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Previous experience of working within a results orientated team.
  • Good standard of IT skills to include power point, word and excel.
  • Experience of dealing directly with the customer if required.
