The Role

NFU Mutual's Stafford / Wolverhampton agency is one of the leading NFU Mutual Insurance branches in the country and we are currently recruiting for two Sales Advisors.

As a Sales Advisor within our growing team, you will play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring the business meets its sales targets and achieves its growth plans.

Using outbound contact strategies you will provide insurance quotations and manage sales campaigns with a can-do’ proactive enthusiasm.

You will also maximise inbound sales opportunities, cross selling to existing clients by using your excellent telephone manner to make the most of every call.

Duties include :

  • Initiate proactive sales activity to create new business opportunities for the Agency.
  • Identify and initiate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and activities to new and existing customers· Obtain appointments for Financial Advisor to meet contribute to Agency target
  • Obtain appointments for Risk Management Consultants to contribute to Agency target
  • Advise upon customer general insurance requirements
  • Process all customer instructions to meet required completion standards
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products, as applicable to product licences
  • Working within Compliance Framework required by the Company / Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
  • Use of Microsoft Word & Excel as a minimum
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers, all members of agency and NFU Mutual staff
  • Comply with all applicable sections of the NFU mutual insurance compliance manual for the agency network, the agency guide and local agency procedures
  • Maintain record keeping requirements for your role
  • Produce correspondence to required time frames and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management Team
  • Desired skills :

  • Be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Possess good IT Skills (particularly Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and use your own judgement
  • Have a flexible and open attitude
  • Be prompt, reliable and trustworthy
  • Sales and customer service skills
  • Be highly organised and able to work to deadlines
  • This position is based in our Stafford office.

    Closing date : 23rd August 2019 Salary : £20,000 to £23,000 depending on experience + sales bonus + pension (OTE £25,000 to £30,000)

    Working week : Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5pm

    Total hours per week : 37.5

    Qualifications required : Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above

    IT GCSE or equivalent
