Amazon is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Category Leader with a strong customer focus. This senior leadership position will manage a high performing team whose primary goal is to enable category profitable growth, by creating the earth's greatest shopping experience on Amazon a store featuring more products, brands, and more compelling content than any store, online or off!
Your Responsibilities :
Provide leadership for the category team and across the company to ensure that the various functions supporting the business have accountability for all important metrics such as increased product selection, unit growth and profitability, inventory turns, and in-stock rates.
Drive innovation aimed at improving customer experience, and strengthening vendor relationships.
Provide local input to defining the customer experience and customer satisfaction and represent that to senior executives and vendors, as well as your category team.
Overcome and solve complex obstacles that impact the category and possibly other categories, effectively escalate issues across all levels in the company.
Focus on providing category knowledge to EU and US management to improve the category by building plans through early identification of the competition, understanding customer needs and pushing for features and products that will differentiate Amazon from others in the market segment.
Drive sustainable process improvements across the functions which create year-over-year efficiency in the category.
Identify new approaches for improving selection and category awareness to better manage the category over the long run.
Focus on talent management of the category team which includes effectively hiring and developing the best talent, and creating an environment which motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results.
