Role Purpose

  • Within IT, the team has the responsibility of all platforms / services / data related with origination / fulfilment / servicing of the commercial Credit & Lending products.
  • The CMB Business is launching a Digital Lending initiative to streamline the Credit origination journey. IT needs a strong foundation team to deliver this critical Business proposition.

  • Senior Business Analysts focus on helping the Product Owner to define the business requirements as epic and user stories, then follow the life cycle of the user stories : demonstrate to Product Owner during sprint then ensure a smooth implementation of the new requirements with the end users.
  • The purpose of this role demands :
  • oCollaborative creation of epics and writing of user stories in conjunction with the Product Owner, including non-functional requirements

    oSupports the Product Owner to manage the product backlog

    oWorks with the Product Owner and team members to generate ideas and shape outcomes

    oAnalysis of customer journeys and product functionality

    oProcess analysis and improvement activities

    oAssesses operational considerations to support effective solution design

    oSupports the Product Owner to create / evolve Product roadmap development

    oSupports reporting to PIC / PDC committees (where automated reporting is insufficient)

    oLiaises with relevant parties to understand inputs from other change constructs

    oHelps define and track metrics and KPIs for the product, including ensuring that epic and user stories deliver values as expected

    oAs required, Supports on team performance metrics

    oBuilding BA Capability and Mentoring / Functional Reporting of Junior BAs.

  • 13 Collaborative interaction with teams from different locations and regions.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Lending products (Overdraft, Term Loans, Leasing, Syndicated Loans etc.) and processes (Origination, Fulfilment, Covenant monitoring, Financial spreading, Collateral management, Credit Decision etc.)
  • Ability to manage exploratory work to identify, evaluate and eventually adopt most suitable solutions
  • Experienced to coach the engineering team (and potentially the business) to follow best-practices
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with agile methods, along with having found their limitations and ways to overcome them.
  • Should be able to support Domain architect to run Technical Architecture reviews
  • Experience on defining requirement for reusable Services, instead of one-off integration
  • Impact on Business

  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Product Managers, Software Engineering teams, Sales Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers, and Strategic Customer Engineers to resolve technical deployment obstacles and to improve the product's vision.
  • Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of Google's product technology and underlying hardware and software architectures in order to build in-
  • product self-service solutions.

  • Work closely with multiple Product Management and Software Engineering teams on understanding ways to improve the product, and interact with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to drive production excellence.
  • Be an advocate for our customers in representing their issues to Product Management and Software Engineering and develop innovative ways to resolve issues.

  • Undertake a stakeholder assessment and stakeholder engagement plan and puts this in place at the beginning of the project
  • Become recognised as the go to person for the projects both within Iceberg and in dealing with other teams.
  • Identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in the assigned projects and ensure that contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within the parameters of the project plan

  • Manage Vendor relationships throughout the duration of the project.
  • Manage project resources, both onshore and offshore, as assigned to undertake the project.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour

  • Experience in Business Analysis Process and in Developing / Deploying Lending / Credit applications in the past
  • Experience requirement gathering, estimating, prototyping, functional mapping, Traceability Matrix
