Role Overview :

We seek a candidate with a Supply Chain or Manufacturing related Degree to join our Sourcing Team based in Dundee. This role offers a high-level Graduate / Undergraduate the ability to undergo a 2 year fully supported program that will consist of on-the-job training, including entry to qualify for a Certification Level from Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) The opening will suit a recent Graduate or Undergraduate qualifying in 2022 seeking a career and aspiration to work within Global Sourcing.

The Sourcing department within DFS is a core component of our business and key to our success. Of the available commodities that can be sourced, the candidate will initially focus on our fabrication related commodity.

Our sourcing department undergoes thorough analysis and strategic negotiations for all fabrication materials with suppliers across the UK and Europe.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in estimating the cost saving benefits for sourcing opportunities and development of sourcing strategies

Assist in preparation, distribution, collection, and analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), or eAuction bidding documents.

Assist in selecting vendors through use of a supplier evaluation tools.

Support teams in conducting negotiations with financial / bid analysis

Work on continuous improvement / Total Cost of Ownership projects both internally and externally together with operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers

Assist in gathering internal customer requirements and ensuring the needs of internal customers are met

Research supply base and industry / marketplace for sourcing materials and / or services.

Manage commodity dashboard

Compiling commodity reports PPV, supplier KPI’s, commodity performance

Work with internal colleagues and suppliers to clear supplier invoice holds

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Manufacturing related studies, or MBA in equivalent subjects.

Oral / Written Communication Skills

Proficiency with technology and MS Office based software packages, particularly PowerPoint & Excel

Analytical Skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

High level of numerical and analytical capabilities to apply to commercial agreements
