LondonMirror Online Sport are looking for an Overnight Sports Editor to join our team here at Lower Thames Street. You will be working alongside our existing correspondent team and have a particular focus on Sport, including feature writing, opinion and analysis.

term planning and produce content ahead of major eventsUse analytics and data intelligence to guide your own content productionThe Ideal CandidateYou could be a recent graduate with some great experience and / or be an old-
hand’ at sports journalism. One of the most important things to us is that you possess a NCTJ or BJTC qualification and have a minimum of a year’s experience in a digital sport environment.
You will have a good grasp of media law. Good understanding of digital publishing including experience of using web publishing systems, understanding of SEO, digital audience behaviour and analytics.
Being an overnight sports role, there are a variety of late evening and weekend shifts encompassed in the role. Additional languages and a knowledge of new and emerging platforms would be a bonus.
Most importantly, you will be driven by sport with a keen interest in football. We may consider remote working for the right candidate.
