The role of the Advanced Analytics Manager is to spear-head the use of advanced analytic techniques in the credit risk modelling arena.
The manager will provide focus and direction, training and expertise to a team of analysts and senior analysts in the UK and the Global Analytics Centre.
The Advanced Analytics Manager will create challenger models across products and brands, to rival the traditional builds currently in place, improving decisions and ultimately reducing risk.
Your responsibilities will include :
Managing and delivering multiple complex and / or basic objectives simultaneously, using own initiative, whilst also taking on and delivering additional ad-
hoc objectives as required. Will draw, formulate & communicate conclusions from own work and team members, recommending further actions, where required
Taking a lead in briefings for team members / stakeholders on progress of work, sharing knowledge, successes and opportunities, communicating confidently with all
Offering guidance and support to enhance capabilities, demonstrating effective management of own team or project resource
Identifying solutions to emerging risk issues, changing priorities, project completion issues and areas of conflict, assessing the impacts of these solutions on self, team and stakeholders, challenging established policy and procedures, where appropriate and suggesting alternatives.
Will also maintain compliance with regulatory and documentary requirements
Being the subject matter expert in machine learning / model development, providing knowledge across the department on advanced modelling methodologies, tools, processes and data
The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications :
Knowledge of retail banking products and portfolios, i.e. Mortgages, Loans, Credit Cards, Current Accounts
Experience of working in Credit Risk / Advanced Analytics / Risk Modelling
Educated to degree level, or equivalent, preferably in a numerate subject
Experience in SAS / SQL / R / Python or other suitable languages / software
